Go to Fall Festivals

The La Flambée des couleurs event lets your family experience a lot of wonderful moments. You can take your bicycles on the Cavalière trail that will take you to the Parc national du Mont Orford or get on the hybrid chairlift at the ski centre of Mont Orford to admire the warm colours all around. You could also explore the 4.5 km trails to find rich flora and wildlife of the Marais de la Rivière-aux-Cerises or just stroll about in the newly refurbished downtown area in Magog. Try Fruit Picking

Picking your plums, gourds,  and raspberries is the most delicious pretext to spend some time in the Eastern Townships. This is possible until mid-October when area farms offer you the sweet fruits of their labour.

The Eastern Townships is home to great places that offer a satisfying, sweet stop to every guest. From maple syrup pies to moist carrot cakes, a hot chocolate bar, and more, everyone can have the weekend treat they deserve. Your tastebuds will truly discover pure excitement when you visit places such as Saveurs et gourmandises in North Hatley, Les Vraies Richesses in Sherbrooke, Vanden Eynden chocolate shop in Magog, and the artisanal bakery La Mie bretonne, in Cowansville, for a perfect snack.

Watch the Birds

In September and October, migrating birds such as Canada geese, snow geese, and mallard ducks gather and go to warmer locations. And the provide watchers quite a performance as they fly overhead. A popular place for this kind of show is the Étang-Burbank, in Danville. But, there are a lot of other places to observe your feathered friends.

Spend Time Biking

The region has around 20 cycling circuits. A lot of these can be accessed by the small kids in your family. Also, there are 8 mountain biking centres in the Eastern Townships waiting for you all to explore.
